    Which southern people? I have never heard it.

    Are you referring to the regionalism of the southern states of the USA - "you all" [all of you]?

    I don't know what's wrong with it. It's even perfectly natural for northern people, though the meaning or the situations where it's used might be slightly different.

    A: Whoa, I've been busy all day.

    B: What all did you do?
