    use of "did" twice

    Hello!
I have a question regarding the use of did twice in a sentence. Is that sentence is right?
Example: Her mother didn't allow the kids to go outside but they didn't listen to her.
    Please explain me.
    Regards.

The sentence is right. Here's a different way of looking at it:
    1. Susan didn't allow the kids to go outside.
    2. The kids didn't listen to Susan.
    3. The kids went oustide anyway.
