Is it grammatically incorrect to say "some of the students" rather than just "some students"...???
I think that "some of the students" is used when you have a grup, for examle some of the students of this school.../ some of the students is used when you know which students are in the group (the ones of this school)
"some students" is more used: some students say that cheating is right
it talks about a group of students that aren't known
"some of the students" is less commonly used, but I recommend you to use the other option
Yes, the sentence just has "spell check is important because some of the students do not know how to spell"
I realize it sounds correct to say it "some students" or "most students" for cutting out prepositional words but can the "of the" also be left in?
