    It is usually said by two people involved in a romantic relationship but the relationship has troubles. One of the lovers realizes that this is not working and says this to their partner. It is not simply one lover being unkind to the other...rather
    he/she is saying that both of them are the problem.

    It is usually said just before they break up.
