    call a quarter

Two groups are looking for one person, and the captain says
-If you see him, call your quarter.
Is it a phrase meaning "to report" or something like that?

Maybe the captain was using quarter as shorthand for quartermaster.

Thanx, RonBee, though I'm not sure that's the case.

Both the army and the navy have captains. They also both have quartermasters. No.
