    A better sentence is

    Employees place high demands on their bosses nowadays.

    "From" is not used....imagine you have a list of demands in your hand and your boss is lying down...you walk up to him and place the demands on his chest.

    How about this?

    I wanted to mean: Bosses place high expectations on their employees.
