    Question different between look and see

    hi, there
    can anyone explain about the different between look and see. is there any conditions for using that words.

    The two can mean the same thing:

    To examine or check
    Ex: Let the doctor look at / see it.


    The two differ in meaning here:

    Intentional verbs
    I looked at the photo because I wanted to see if I was in it.
    I listened to the radio to find out the weather for today.

    Non-intentional verbs
    I saw the photo as she turned the pages of the book.
    I heard the radio playing next door.

    You can consider ''looking'' to be an action and "seeing" to be a result.
    Generally, you have to look at something in order to see it, but it is possible to look and still not see what you want to see.

    I am looking where you are pointing, but I don't see the bird that you see.

    ''listen'' and ''hear'' have the same relationship as ''look'' and ''see''.
    I am listening but I don't hear anything.
