    1-Which verb would you fill in the blank? rent or let?why?
    We've................our house to some Americans for the summer.

    which adjective for the blank? keen or wishful? why?
    2-I can't drive yet,but I'm...................to learn when I'm 18.

    Note: In sentence 1, to rent seems better though both verbs can be used to describe the same meaning. There's a little difference between them. Let in this meaning is mostly used in American English whereas rent is common in British English.
    In sentence 2, keen is much better to translate the contextual meaning as wanted in your sentence. Wishful does not seem to represent the wanted meaning here. Consult a dictionary as well.

    These two questions are taken from a test.The answer key says 'let' for the first one and 'wishful' for the second one,but I can't find any explanation for why.
