    Is it correct to say like this:

    Finding a job in very difficult in New York. (Hard to do. Maybe because you are not qualified or lots of people also looking for the same job.
    Competitive means lots of people are also looking for the same specific job as you are, and you need to compete with them for the position.

    I wouldn't say correct, but it's common.

    What is competitive is not finding a job; it is the market in which you have to find a job. Finding a job is difficult.
