    Smile Output

what is the difference between output and outcome. all my searchings almost give me the same meanings. how do I differentiate my outcome from my output in business English.

For example : A suggestion was given to increase the sales by appointing more marketing personnel in all territories. Here my expected outcome and output is increase of sales (as far as I know). because sales activity will increase through our new effort and it is only a visible thing. please tell my what will be my outcome here and also output?

    thanks a lot

    Re: Output

The outcome [the result] of appointing more sales staff is to achieve higher sales.

The output [the products coming out of ...] of the factory has gone up since new systems were installed.
