    the verb There to be

    My question is what happens to this verb when the complement becomes plural, that is, in some cases as the following.
    There is\are? a television, a radio, a computer,,,

    - There is\are a parking lot, some trees, some buildings....

    Singular or plural? that is my question

    There is + singular (TV, a parking lot, a radio, a computer)

    There are + plural (some treest, somme buildings)
