    escape from

    Hi there,
Is it necessary to use 'from' with 'escape' all the time?
    How about this sentence?

Many people like to go on trips to escape from their work-related pressure.

    many thanks
    pete

No not always. You could say the same sentence another way.

Many people like to go on trips to escape work-related pressure.

    both sentences are fine
