    Re: IF after WOULD

If I would have studied science in school, I might have become a doctor.
If I had studied science in school, I might have become a doctor.
I could have become a doctor if I had studied science in school.

    Re: IF after WOULD

    Let me try to answer.
    An example:
I didn't know if I would go there.

This is an indirect question, and you may use would after if.

The construction of a conditional clause usually don't allow us to use would.
    Your example is incorrect therefore:
If I had studied science at school, I would be a doctor now.

But sometimes would means a favour.
I would be grateful if you would sign the attached copy of this letter and return it.

Let me suppose that your teacher is an American.
The Americans use would in both parts of such sentences. But unfortunately I didn't study American variant of English language.

Plus we all make mistakes. Don't be too severe against your teacher, and appeal to your textbook.

    Re: IF after WOULD

    Thank you RonBee and Grablevskij

I'm glad that I could use would after IF + Subject..otherwise my teacher will get fired because of it. cos the others complain to the headmaster.
    Thank you so much.

    Re: IF after WOULD

    Say:
My teacher told me that I can use would after if.
The word is textbook (one word).

    Say:
I'm glad that I can use would after if.
...because the others complained to the headmaster.
