    Smile just now/for now

I've visited five countries just now/for now.

Does just now or for now fit in the above context? Thanks.

    Re: just now/for now

"just now" = this minute. "Just now the alarm went off"

"for now" = for the time being "You can play your music for now, but you must do your homework later".

Neither will work in your sentence.

"I have visited five countries now" is how it is expressed.

    Re: just now/for now

    Thanks, Anglika.
Will it sound better to say "until now?" By the way, does the following sound right to you?

I have just visited five countries now?

Let me tell you something before Anglika does. I haven't a clue whether it would sound better, but take me at my word it is correct to say until now, or till now, or even up to now.

No, it doesn't work now. Leave out now, and the sentence will be fine.

I am not a teacher, but I'm doing my best to provide you with proper explanations.

I think I'd only say this if I had just returned from a country I never visited before. Like "Ahh I have visited five countries now. Next holiday it will be six"

I'd rather use "so far" instead of now.

Until now >> "Until now I have only visited five countries. When I go home after this trip/holiday, I will have visited six."
