    Please, help me out

    Hi!
    Could you plase help me out with these expressions, I didnīt find their meaning in the dictionary:

    1) Sniff this!

    2) to be in the picture

    3) to get the out

    4) not to see colour

    5) to help sb out of the closet

    6) to fill sbīs shoes

    #2 To be in the picture - to be aware of or in possession of all the facts about something.
    #5 To help somebody out of the closet - to help someone declare their homosexuality.
    #6 To fill somebody's shoes - to take over someone else's role or position.

    The others require more context - they are not idioms.

    1 Sniff this- this can be used as an insult; you are inviting them to sniff something dirty.
    5 If someone is in the closet, they are gay but keep it secret. When someone comes out of the closet, they tell people around them that they are gay.
