    conversation question

    Hi,
I have two questions about conversational english.

    1. Which one is correct to say-
    a. He resigned from his job.
    b. He resigned.

    Another question is
    2. Which one is polite way to ask teacher

    a. I won't be able to attend the class next week because we are moving to another apartment.

    b. I can not attend the class next week because we are moving to another apartment.

    1. Which one is correct to say-
    a. He resigned from his job.
    b. He resigned.

They are both correct as long as the context is clear. (b) is more likely than (a) when the speaker is a colleague.

    a. I won't be able to attend the class next week because we are moving to another apartment.

    b. I can not attend the class next week because we are moving to another apartment.

They are both fine as far as I am concerned. There is a difference though - (a) is more formal than (b). Also, it would be better to say 'can't' instead of 'can not' in (b).

    Re: conversation question

    Hi,

Thanks for explaining the sentences. How can I improve my conversational english quickly? I'm trying these things to improve my conversational english-
I watch the program on tv with subtilte on.
I am reading a novel and the word I don't understand I underline it and look in the dictionary.
I am also taking writing classes.
I like to read article and newspaper.

what else I can do to improve english (especially conversational english)

I asked my friends who speak good english that if I am wrong please correct me but they don't do that.

    Please give me some suggestions.

    Thanks
