    Smile get a good f...

Hi dear experts, in a film I heard the following dialogue:

    - What do the Americans get?
    - Sounds to me we are going to get a good f....

I listened to it many times and never could get the last word, the one beginning with f. The subtitles read "We are going to drink a glass of cold water" In Bulgarian it means " We get nothing at all". I'd be very grateful if you could provide the corresponding English idiom.

An impolite expression for sexual intercourse - very commonly used but best avoided if your granny is about.

Thank you very much, Anglika. My students are interested in what exactly is the word. It sounds to me like "fleecing". Am I right?

    Re: get a good f...

The word Anglika is referring to sounds nothing like "fleecing," but either word makes sense the context of the quote you posted.

If someone is "fleeced," it means that they have been robbed, cheated or swindled.

Describe what is happening in the movie when the dialog occurs.

Question Re: get a good f...

Thank you very much Ouisch, just one last question, if you are willing to answer:

Is this correct: "We are ging to get a good fleecing" = "We are going to get nothing"

It starts with f, ends with k, and has the letter u and c in it - over to you

Not only are we going to get nothing, they might also take something we already have.

    Hi, Anglika!

It starts with f, ends with k, and has the letter u and c in it.

Are you trying to say f-i-r-e-t-r-u-c-k???? Firetruck is a wonderful 'F' word, isn't it?

    Cheers,
