    'take bath' or 'take a bath'

    my very first post, can anyone here please confirm/explain which sentence is corect ?

    1. I take bath at 11.00 p.m.

    2. I take a bath at 11.00 p.m.

    "I take a bath at 11 p.m." indicates that you do this regularly at this time. Alternatively you could say "I bathe at 11p.m.

    Your first sentence is correct and the reason why that sentence is correct is that we do not normally use singular countable nouns without an article or determiner. Since bath is a countable noun, we should use "a" with it when using sigular form.
    Also! Take a bath is American and not so common in Britian. They use "have a bath" instead.
    Countable Noun: A noun which has singular forms e.g. books, chairs etc.
    Uncountable Noun: A noun which does not have singular forms e.g. bread, oil etc.
    I do not agree to the other defination of countable and uncountable nouns that are common in people. I suggest you shold not agree too.
