The first part is not a problem (83 ft= 24, 9 m) but I don't understand the second :-/

Let us first convert the entire length to inches

83 feet = 83 x 12 = 996 inches
Total length = 996 + 3.75 = 999.75 inches
(in North America we use a decimal point to separate the decimal fraction, not a comma)

1 inch = 2.54 cm

total length = 999.75 x 2.54 = 2539.365 cm or 25.39 meters

I don't think your conversion of 83 ft = 24.9 m is correct...I think the answer there is 25.30 m (rounded to 2 decimals)
