Smile look up at the glowing star

The best part of camping is simply relaxing outside and looking up at the glowing stars.
The best part of camping is simply to relax outside and look up at the sparkling stars.

Do glowing stars convey the same concept as sparkling stars? If not, what are the differences?
MOreover, which one of the above two make more sense to you? Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: look up at the glowing star

I think glowing and sparkling have the same meaning!

For me, the first sentence makes more sense than the second sentence

glowing means to shine with or as if with an intense heat [embers in a fire glow]; sparkling means that the light is bright, giving off little points of light like a diamond in a ring.

To me the stars would sparkle.

Thanks, Anglika, for your transparent response.
By the way, which of the two base sentences sounds better to you?
