    tenses

The new manager introduced an incentive scheme for the staff, increased salaries, and sent a number of employees on training courses, and as a result the level of service has improved a great deal.

Please tell me if this sentence is correct in terms of tenses or should only present perfect be used>

    As Niall said, it's fine.

You could change to the present perfect but that would show a great deal more emphasis.

The new manager HAS introduced an incentive scheme for the staff, HAS increased salaries, and HAS sent a number of employees on training courses, and as a result the level of service has improved a great deal.
