    Trouble with perceptive verbs.

what form of vern should we use after a perceptive verb?
    For example, when we say
'I saw him play football.' or 'I saw him playing footbal.'? And what is the difference between the two sentences?
Can you give me some more examples of other perceptive verbs, too.

    Re: Trouble with perceptive verbs.

I saw him do it - I viewed the whole action
I saw him doing it- I saw part of the action

This distinction is not 100%, but with your example, I would use 'play' if I saw the whole game and 'playing' if, say, I walked through the park and saw a bit of the game.
