    Are the sentences right?

    Are the sentences below correct with the use of the underlined verb and so on?

    Verb

    The supermarket is closer to the bus terminal than to my house.
    John is much closer to Carol than Jamie
    John walked closer towards the window

    The swimmer said that he swam for more than three hours.
    Kevin bought three apples today
    John has to be at the airport by three pm today

    No one likes him because he likes to tell lies.
    Please donít tell anyone about the incident
    I will tell you a secret today

    Joan had a very bad toothache yesterday.
    John had made a lot of money from his business
    I had bought a house since last year

    Adjectives

    Our television is not working properly.
    John is working for a big company
    The radio is still working properly

    He walks along the path in park every morning.
    The apple does not taste good
    The house is too big

    We heard the bad news and cried.
    The fruit smells bad
    He is a bad person

    We threw the litter into the dustbin. We want to keep the place clean
    He is a very clean person
    Those are clean clothing

    Preposition

    Who is dancing in the hall?
    The house is located in Kenny Hills
    There are five rooms in the house

    He jumped into the lake and started swimming.
    Please throw the rubbish into the dustbin
    John fell into a big drain

    As sentences they are generally fine.
