    The condition/situation/occation of these endangered animals is getting worse.




    I doubt if all of the three underlined words work in the above utterance. If not, why not? If yes, do they convey the same concept? Thanks.

    This means that the animals condition is worsening, which can be thought of as their health worsening.

    The situation involving these endangered animals is getting worse.
    The situation is getting worse, which is much more general than just the condition of the animals. The situation might also include how much they are hunted for example.

    The occasion of these endangered animals is getting worse.
    An occasion can be an opportunity or an event, but it cannot be used here.
