    I would like to ask native speakers of English the following questions.

    Which is correct and why?

    I gave my brother as much help as possible.
    I gave my brother help as much as possible.

    No writer has been admired more than Shakespeare.
    No writer has been more admired than Shakespeare.

    both appear to be so, provided "as much as possible" modifies "help" in the former and "gave help" in the latter, but this sounds stylisticly odd to me, so stick to the first sentence to be on the safe side
