    Smile gunpowder/explosive

    The bomb was packed with high explosive/gunpowder.


    Are explosive and gunpower identical in sense? Do both of them work with the above wording? Thanks.

    no...only "explosive". Why because gunpowder is a type of explosive but really not that powerful, so a high gunpowder is almost an oxymoron.

    High explosive is something like TNT or plastic explosives.
