Trajectory is the path a thrown object takes as it moves through the air.
For example, take a ball and toss it as if you're throwing it to a friend to catch. See how the ball goes upwards as it moves away from you, hits a "peak" in the air, and then begins falling downward toward your friend? That "arc" in the air is the ball's trajectory.
