    about "ving"


    in the following sentence:

    You won't find the good life buying expensive "toys."

    how do you explain buying ~ in terms of structure?
    Does it mean " you won't find the good life by buying expensive toys?"

    Look at this sentence:
    He was so upset he cried and cried.
    In the sentence structure, there is a "that" which should go before "he", but in speech particularly, we sometimes omit words when they don't alter the meaning, so that the words flow easily.
