    What is the meaning and origin of this expression? I cannot find it on the net.

    You caused more trouble than a bag full of ferrets...
    He may be madder than a bag full of ferrets...

    Hello Lukre,

    Ferrets are domesticated polecats. They are very energetic creatures: the phrase implies that if you imprisoned several inside a bag, the bag would move in a frantic, vigorous fashion, as the ferrets attempted to escape.
