Thread: No offhand

    No offhand

I am writing to ask the meaning of the following words.

    1. What does "school aged students" mean?

    2. Do you know of anyone who baby-sits and can cook? Not offhand. What does "not offhand" here mean?

    Thanks a lot.

    1. They're young enough (or old enough) to go to school
    2. It means he doesn't know one now, without searching first, or looking into his address book etc.
