This isn't one I've met. I suspect it's Am. English. When - in the early '60s - I first heard a Rolling Stones cover of the R&B song 'Downhome girl' I had no idea what dh meant; I suspect it may be the opposite of uphome, but defer to my N. American colleagues.

    Hi gonghonjun,

My guesswork, referring your question is so as follows:

up homer = pitcher that has allowed most home runs

    Consult BASEBALL for information.

elected list of pitchers giving up record home runs:. 1883 - Jack Neagle,
Allegheny Club of Pittsburg (sic) - Harry Stovey's 10th of the season ...

When did frank tanana give up homers to bonds and aaron? Which of the following pitchers allowed the most home runs in Major League history Frank Tanna Don ...

    Regards.

Thank Bobk and Vil very much for your kind help! According to my reading context, Bobk's answer seems more suitable for my question. But thanks for your replies all the same.
    Best wishes.
