    Is this correct?
    I did warn her of the lurking danger.

    In a sentence like this, more context is needed to say whether this is the best choice of words.
    "Lurking danger" isn't wrong, but it sounds a bit odd.
    Other possibilities:

    I did warn her of the danger
    ... that she faced.
    ... that lay ahead.
    ... that threatened her.
    ... that confronted her.
