    after all and at least

    Dear teachers,

    Please read the sentence:

He was fortunate, for ___________ his mind was still unaffected.

    a. after all b. at least

It seems both are correct. So I have no idea which to choose. Could you please kindly explain how to do this exercise?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

I agree - they are equally good. However I suspect the answer will be A.

    Dear Anglika,

Haven't heard from you for a long time. Welcome back!
Thank you very much for your explanation. I don't know which is the correct answer because it is not given. If you think 'A' is correct it must be correct.
