    fall back

    Hi there.

    "It's time to fall back to your winter watering schedule."

    What does 'fall back' mean? Is it a common usage?

    Thanks in advance.

    In this context it means "to go back to"

    It is similar to saying;

    The soldiers fell back to their second line of defense when their forward position was overrun.
