How would you like to teach me?

"its" is the possessive form of "it".

The door closed on its hinges.
The car has no petrol in its tank.
A tree grows its leaves on its branches.

    It has no plural.

The word to use is "their" [ The doors close on their hinges/The cars have no petrol in their tanks]
