    rinse Vs gargle

    Hi.
I wonder if there is any subtle difference between 'rinsing' and 'gargling' one's mouth?
    thanks.

    Yup, there shorely is, Dean.

'rinsing' doesn't entail tilting your head back, holding liquid from going down your throat and going, "gaaaaaaaaaaaaa" to make the liquid bounce around. Gargling does.

'rinsing' is just swishing a liquid around in your mouth.
