could you explain to me the rules relating to the use of " all " and "whole " please , I had difficulty explaining it to a student the other day while doing the exercise on it
It is a very interesting problem
The whole is the big thing and all the parts make up the whole.
2 halves make a whole and so do 4 quarters, 8 eights etc.
All the pieces make the whole too.
