    5ht antagonists

This restrictive label is because this was the group who responded to treatment in the proving studies with others having a less marked or absent response.

Can you provide us with some background information to this? Is it some kind of medical research report? If so, can you provide more context so we can see what it is meant to say?

There should be comma after "studies". (if I understand the intended meaning correctly)

It sure sounds like a medical study. The use of this treatment is restricted to the group of patients who responded to the treatment. The other people/groups did not have good responses; so this treatment is not approved for treatment of the other people/groups.

5HT (and 5HT-3) is the abbreviation for the chemical which acts on the part of the brain called the Limbic System, and so, on memory and emotion.
'antagonist' is ascribed/given to a chemical when it counteracts the usual functioning of some part of the body.
But is that what you were asking??
