    Post need help with idioms

    i have difficulty to find the meaning of the following idioms. it would be great if u could help me with these ..
    • child's play
    • fish for compliments
    • a forgone conclusion
    • round the clock
    • g with a swing
    • a tall order
    • in tandem

      = try to get someone to say nice things about you/give compliments to you.

      = in a speaker's mind, the result has been determined
    • round the clock

      = 24 hours a day
    • g with a swing

      I'm not familiar with this one, Aminnath.

      = a difficult thing to do/accomplish

    Hi Aminath Nanmath,

    I know the idiom "in full swing" = in full operation, at the highest level of activity, as in:

    "After the strike it would be some time before production was in full swing."

    It is logically to assume that "in a swing" should imply about "a steady, vigorous rhythm or movement"

    to go with a swing = if an event, especially a party, goes with a swing, it is very exciting and successful.

    "A traditional jazz band-now that would help your party go with a swing."
