    the word simulates

I'm trying to diagram a sentence, and am stuck on a word:

The sentence reads: Company agrees others shall not make, use, sell, offer for sale, license, or assign any product or process involving a veneer containing a wood or wood-looking finish or any product or process that simulates the appearance of any product produced.

I need help with the word "simulates". Not sure if it is a verb, adverb, or something completely different. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

In this sentence 'a veneer......or any product or process' is the subject of the verb 'to simulate', which in this context means 'to have the appearance of, or imitate'.

    Hi Kroth

The word stimulates is a transitive verb.
    Does it help?
