    female/male/boy/guy/woman

    (1) She is a female.
    (2) She is a female person.
    (3) She is a girl.
    (4) He is a male.
    (5) He is a boy.
    (6) He is a guy.
    (7) She is a woman.

Are all these sentences correct? To me all sound fine.

    They are all correct grammatically.

Be careful of how you use them.

Why? Are there any side effects of misusing these sentences?

I suspect most women will not appreciate being described as "she is a female person" or even "a female".

    I wonder why.
