    These dogs can grow up to a height of 100 cms.


    Which of the above two sound better and make more sense? Thanks.

    The first is fine; the second needs rephrasing as "These dogs grow to a....".

    They both make perfect sense.

    But I still have a question--should I use 100 cm or cms and why?
