    itself usage

    Hi,

I want to know whether the following usage of 'itself' is correct.

Situation: I want to inform to my friend that I am going to my native place on 23rd instead of 26th.

    Can I say like below:

I am going to my native place on 23rd ITSELF.

    Thanks

    Re: itself usage

I want to know whether the following usage of 'itself' is correct.

Situation: I want to inform to-omit my friend that I am going
    (i) home
(ii) to India/Delhi (the country or city where you were born)

on the 23rd instead of the 26th.

Can I say it like this?:
I am going to my native place on 23rd ITSELF.
    No.
I am going home on the 23rd instead of the 26th.

If your friend lives in your home country or city, then you would say:
I will be coming home on the 23rd instead of the 26th.
    or
I am now coming home on the 23rd instead of the 26th

Why did you think 'itself' was a good word to use in the above sentence?
    Look at this sentence:
I'm coming home to India, arriving on the 23rd of this month. I will be in Mumbai most of the 23rd itself, but should be able to reach Goa by noon on the 24th.
