    Meaning of Pelican edition

    Dear teacher,
I have read "The so-called 'substantially updated' 1982 Pelican edition of the book, ..... Then go back to Edgar Snow's Red Star over China and White and Jacoby's ..." on Internet. But I do not know the meaning of "Pelican edition". Help me get its meaning, please. Thanks a lot!

    Re: Meaning of Pelican edition

"Pelican" was one of the imprints used by the Penguin publishing company. It was the imprint used for its serious and academic non-fiction.
