Cool Synonim for "sharper" in "Sharper architectural components."

Please, what does it mean sharper in "Sharper architectural components" referring to the modern world.

    Thank You

Not so rounded. More corners, spikes, points.

It means that as opposed to the kind of 'blurring', the muting of the components of a picture as in Impressionistic paintings, objects/components of a painting (or a movie, as in Film Noir) are rendered with a stark, sharp, angled quality. None of your fluffy clouds and diaphanous billowy materials!
