    Third person and "this"

Hi friends, can u help me in knowing whether the word "this" comes under third person category or not ? I want to use this line in one of mine mail: this prove or this proves. Confuse regarding the usage of "s".

    Thanks

    This proves
    this prove

What "this" refers to is always singular

    (statements) that prove
    (a statement) that proves

What "that"refers to is not always singular.

Yes, "this" is third- person singular: "this is," "this proves," etc .
