    object + to + ing

    sorry I found this phrase
    I object to doing it

    Is it correct?

It sounds so ungrammatical to me…but I might be wrong of course.

Or is it one of these phrases with to followed by ing forms such as in addition to or looking forward to ???

    Many thanks

It's correct. After a preposition the verb form we use is always a gerund.
