    proverb i think...

    could u pls tell me what STICK AND STONES MAY BREAK OUR BONES means? i am trying to translate that into maltese but i can't get the meaning in any way...

    An old children's rhyme:

    Sticks and stones may break my bones
    But (words/names) can never hurt me.

    Used when other children are shouting rude things or taunting another child. Basically means "you can say what you like, but your words don't actually hurt me.
