    Exclamation tongue and groove fashion

    Please, Im translating a book and I got across this expression that I never heard of. Could anyone help me plese? I really need this job!!!

    The "tongue" refers to a piece that sticks out from the main body of an object; it fits into a "groove" or a slot that is carved into another object.

    Here is an example of a piece with a tongue. The small edge closest to the hammer is the tongue. The tongue on the other end of the piece is already inserted into the groove.
