    learning prepositions ("off")

Hi, I want to learn the usage of preposion "off", being used in phrasal verbs like bring off, break off, come off etc etc. What is the literal meaning of it and in which context we frequently use it.

    Re: learning prepositions ("off")

Phrasal verbs don't work that way. Learning the meanings of the parts doesn't necessarily help you learn the meaning of the whole.
